HIV-SIDA condición inusual en población pediátrica.

Introduction: The HIV infection in Pediatrics has undergone favorable changes, due to the fact that, nowadays,hardly any infected children are born due to the prevention of mother-to-child transmission protocols. Inaddition, thanks to the treatment of children with HIV, they are fully integrated into daily life, with a full lifeand without differences with respect to a non-HIV child. Objective: Describe a clinical case of HIV-AIDS in pediatric age. Material and methods: Retrospective descriptive study, presentation of a clinical case of HIV-AIDS in pediatricage. Results: Pre-school, female, 2 years, personal pathological history: hospitalization at 9 months for viral encephalitisand pneumonia, nonreactive HIV; one year old hospitalized for H1N1 Influenza, Pneumonia complicatedwith pericardial effusion with nonreactive HIV. She consulted for presenting erythematous-basedvesicles in the frontal region, accompanied by itching, purulent yellow discharge, pain and left eye edema.Adenopathy of 2 x 1cm is palpable in the left preauricular region. Fourth generation HIV screening: reactive,confirmatory fourth generation HIV by electrochemiluminescence of 474,800. As treatment, she receivedintravenous antibiotic, intravenous and topical antiviral, intravenous analgesia, oral antihistamine, attendedwith remission of crusted lesions 24 hours after treatment, and was referred to the Third Level Hospital tostart antiretroviral treatment. Conclusions: In the child with HIV, health checks must be carried out, inculcating healthy eating and exercisehabits, as well as receiving the complete vaccination schedule, vaccination being indicated against: pneumococcus,meningococcus, papillomavirus, chickenpox, hepatitis A and influenza. seasonal. Without antiretrovirals(ART), HIV infection causes a deterioration of the immune system, so that the child presents: repeatedbacterial infections, medro failure, neurological involvement and decreased life expectancy.Introduccio?n: La infeccio?n VIH en Pediatría ha experimentado cambios favorables, debido, a que gracias a losprotocolos de prevencio?n de la transmisio?n maternoinfantil, hoy en día, apenas nacen niños infectados.Además, gracias al tratamiento los niños con VIH, se encuentra totalmente integrados en la vida diaria, conuna vida plena y sin diferencias con respecto a un niño no VIH. Objetivo: Describir un caso clínico de VIH-SIDA en edad pediátrica. Material y me?todos: Estudio descriptivo retrospectivo, presentacio?n de caso clínico de VIH-SIDA en edadpediátrica. Resultados: Pre–escolar, femenino, de 2 años, antecedentes patolo?gicos personales: hospitalizacio?n a los 9meses por Encefalitis viral y Neumonía, HIV no reactivo; al año de edad hospitalizada por Influenza H1N1,Neumonía complicada con derrame pericárdico con HIV no reactivo. Acude a consulta por presentar vesículas en base eritematosa en regio?n frontal, acompañado de prurito, secrecio?n amarrillo purulenta, dolor y edema ocular izquierdo. Se palpa adenopatía de 2 x 1cm en regio?n preauricular izquierda. HIV de cuarta generacio?n tamizaje: reactivo, HIV de cuarta generacio?n confirmatoria por electroquimioluminiscencia de 474.800. Como tratamiento recibio? antibioticoterapia intravenosa, antiviral intravenoso y to?pico, analgesia intravenosa, antihistamínico vía oral, curso? con remisio?n a lesiones costrosas a las 24 horas postratamiento y fue referida a Hospital de tercer nivel para iniciar tratamiento antirretroviral. Conclusiones: En el niño con VIH, se deben realizar los controles de salud inculcándose hábitos saludables enalimentación y ejercicio, así mismo debe recibir el calendario de vacunación completo, estando indicado lavacunación frente a: neumococo, meningococo, papilomavirus, varicela, hepatitis A y gripe estacional. Sinantiretrovirales (ART), la infección VIH produce un deterioro del sistema inmune, de modo que el niño presenta: infecciones bacterianas de repetición, fallo de medro, afectación neurológica y disminución de su esperanza de vida
