Factores que inciden en el logro académico de los estudiantes de la básica secundaria y media de las instituciones educativas Nuestra Señora del Carmen y Néstor Andrés Rangel Alfaro

With academic performance, the result of an educational process that measures the ability of the student in relation to their learning is reflected; this can be positive or negative, depending on the factors that affect it. This article presents the results of a research whose objective was to analyze the factors that had an impact on the low academic performance of repeating students from elementary and middle school in Nuestra Señora del Carmen and Néstor Andrés Rangel Alfaro educational institutions. This research was developed under a qualitative, descriptive approach, and the study was carried out taking into account the emerging categories and subcategories of the categorical matrix of analysis, which was verified with the theoretical framework and the objectives set in the research. Likewise, the results allowed the approximation towards the factors involved in academic performance, so that the results obtained from the research could be compared to others in this same field, generating alternatives for reflection and research as a fundamental part of an educational process.Con el rendimiento académico se ve plasmado el resultado de un proceso educativo que mide la capacidad del estudiante en relación a sus aprendizajes; y este puede ser positivo o negativo, según los factores que incidan en él. En este artículo se presentan los resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo fue analizar los factores que incidían en el bajo rendimiento académico de los estudiantes repitentes de la básica secundaria y media de las instituciones educativas Nuestra Señora del Carmen y Néstor Andrés Rangel Alfaro. Esta investigación se desarrolló bajo un enfoque cualitativo, de tipo descriptivo, y el estudio se realizó teniendo en cuenta las categorías y subcategorías emergentes de la matriz categorial de análisis, la cual se constató con el marco teórico y los objetivos trazados en la investigación. Asimismo, los resultados contribuyeron con la aproximación hacia los factores involucrados en el desempeño académico, a fin de comparar los resultados obtenidos de la investigación con otras hechas en este mismo campo, de forma que se consiguieran alternativas de reflexión e investigación como parte fundamental de un proceso educativ
