This presentation from the National Convergence Technology Center provides guidance to programs on implementing employer-led information technology (IT) skill standards. The relevance of IT skill standards for educators and employers is highlighted. The 2020 IT Skill Standards (ITSS) program is also highlighted. ITSS program managers consulted thought leaders and subject matter experts to identify job clusters and skills. Clusters include infrastructure connectivity administration and engineering, technical support, technical project management, software development and engineering, data management and engineering, data analytics and predictive modeling, and security.
