First of all, Ge15Sb20S65 and Ge25Sb5Se70 bulk chalcogenide glasses with different sizes were prepared and their physical, thermal and optical properties are discussed in detail. A novel coextrusion method is adopted to fabricate the fiber perform based on the stacked billet of multi-material. Then, the preform is jacked with a high strength and high temperature polymer. After that, the preform is drawn into fiber with a specialized fiber drawing tower. The well-controlled cross-section of the fiber with uniform and clear structure is verified by an optical microscope after a well polishing process.
