Neutron diffraction measurements on heavy water steam at two pressure states on the isotherm at T = 580 K are presented. The data show the presence of significant degree of orientational correlations between molecules at both densities investigated, although it is not possible at this stage to say to what extent, if any, the gas is hydrogen bonded
