A 10 GHz mode-locked laser based on a Slab-Coupled Optical Waveguide Amplifier with an intra-cavity etalon is presented. The timing jitter is ~2.3 fs (10 Hz to 100 MHz), the lowest reported to our knowledge. © 2010 Optical Society of America
