During the 2002 summer term the authors began development of a new approach to the teaching of Physical Science, a general education course typically found in the curricula of nearly every college and university. This new approach, called Physical Science - Physics in Films, uses popular movies to illustrate physical principles, analyzing individual scenes against the background of the fundamental physical laws. Earlier papers in EISTA 03 and EISTA 04 [1,2] reported on several aspects of the course development and its success in improving student performance. In this paper we describe a new dimension being implemented for the course this summer and fall Employing the potential of the electronic media and the internet, the UCF Physics Depart...
