Skeletal muscle is composed of myofibers surrounded by an extracellular matrix (ECM) primarily containing collagen. Essential amino acid (EAA) consumption is known to increase post-exercise myofiber anabolism, but it is unknown if post-exercise ECM remodeling is nutrient-sensitive.
