In the previous papers we already discussed problems concerning the social housing in Italy with a specific focus on deteriorated estates of the city of Rome dating from the 1970s. The institute that owns the stock is inefficiently managing the whole renewal process and methods and tools to successfully intervene are required. The aim of the research is provide the housing organization ATER in Rome with a toolkit of physical measures to intervene on the building level. Objective to be satisfied through facades adaptation-substitution are: better energy building consumption, increase housing differentiation and improve building recognizability by the residents.
