A report in the New York Sun and copied by the Grand River Eagle, p. 2, on the arrival of 80 Dutch immigrants from the Province of Groningen on the ship, Emblem, from Rotterdam. The women wore large golden head dresses and not one was worth less than one hundred and sixty dollars.
