The study was approved by the Ethical Committee of Ruijin Hospital with a clinical trial registration number NCT04714814. Among the prospective patient cohort collected, 12 CRC individuals for the High-throughput transcriptome analysis were strictly screened in our center, without any medical treatment before recruitment. Total RNA was isolated from the surgically discarded normal and tumor colorectal tissues of these 12 CRC individuals. Then, the cDNA library was constructed, and high-throughput sequencing was performed at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine (Shanghai, China) using the HiSeq 4000 (Illumina, San Diego, CA).
