The magnetic state of Cu(COOH)2. 4H2O and Cu(COOH)2. 4D2O at 4.2°K was investigated by studying the proton magnetic resonance. We found a resonance pattern which is characteristic of the antiferromagnetic state. From these resonance results we could determine a magnetic point symmetry. Making use of this symmetry and the crystallographic spacegroup, a magnetic structure could be derived
