Strategi Komunikasi Efektif Guru Dalam Pembentukan Karakter Siswa SMPN 64

Communication is like dress for humans, in human life can not be separated. Everyone definitely needs and uses communication for many purposes. However, to achieve effective communication, it must be accompanied by an appropriate and effective communication strategy. One of the goals of education is character education, where students have their own values. Direct face-to-face learning has made students have to learn to adapt to new habits. Where at the beginning of learning the absence rate was up to 80 students, then it decreased to the twenties. Therefore, it becomes interesting so that researchers want to see how teachers implement effective communication strategies in building students' character. Researchers use qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observations in class, and interviews with both teachers and students. From the data obtained, the teacher uses informative, persuasive, and constructive communication methods, and is equipped with advice and habituation methods. From these effective communication strategies, the student character bulding can be seen from the increased the interest in learning, reduced student absence, and the habit of greeting to the teacher
