In-Silico Drug Design, Molecular Docking Studies, Isolation, Characterization and In-Vitro Bronchodilatory affect of Eugenol of the Whole Plant Mukia Maderaspatana (Linn), M. Roem

The present investigations draw the following conclusion. The docking report shows that eugenol is biologically active against the Adenosine A2a receptor for bronchodilation. The least docking score of the compound indicates the great potential against the broncho-dilatory effect. The phytochemical screening of the Hydro-alcoholic and Ethanolic extract of the whole plant of Mukia maderaspatana (Linn), M.Roem, revealed the presence of phenols, flavonoids, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, carbohydrates, proteins and glycosides. Thin Layer Chromatography of Mukia maderaspatana (Linn), M.Roem indicates the identification of the active constituent with the Rf value of the standard (eugenol). Quantitative estimation helps to identify the gallic acid equivalent (phenolic content) present in the hydro-alcoholic extract of the whole plant of Mukia maderaspatana (Linn), M.Roem. The characterisation studies of the extracted oil from the whole plant of Mukia maderaspatana showed the presence of eugenol through UV, IR, NMR & MASS Spectrometry. Pharmacological screening potentiates the biological evidence of in-vitro Bronchodilatory effect by Goat Tracheal Chain preparation method. The thesis is concluded by highlighting that the whole plant of Mukia maderaspatana containing eugenol is efficient in bronchodilation induced by histamine, which were used in treating bronchodilation can be replaced by natural remedy. Since, herbal drugs are less injurious and causes little side effects it is more productive and protective than synthetic drugs
