BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to evaluate the regenerative potential of Amniotic Membrane as guided tissue regeneration in chronic periodontitis patients with vertical bone defect. METHODS: A randomised split mouth clinical study for evaluating the regenerative efficiency of Amniotic Membrane as guided tissue regeneration with platelet rich fibrin as a bone fill in chronic periodontitis patients with vertical bone defect. A total of 15 patients were enlisted, Two quadrants with vertical defect was selected, flap surgery with PRF as a bone fill in one quadrant and flap surgery with PRF+ Amniotic membrane as GTR in another quadrant was done.
