The first photo shows the River Dee with the City Floating Baths. The Floating Baths were introduced in 1883, which was filled with actual water from the River Dee, which caused problems with silt gathering in the deep end. In 1888 this was fixed by adding extra holes to improve the flow of water. During a floodtide in 1899, the baths broke free from its mornings and ended up on the Weir. Eventually they were repaired and used until the City Baths opened in 1901. The second photo shows the Salmon steps at Chester weir and the bridge is the Queens Park suspension bridge over the River Dee
