In his book “Civilization and its discontents” (1930), Sigmund Freud (1856 – 1939) develop an analysis on how pleasure and displasure are manifested in the individual’s psyche, what are their relations with the psychic mecanism from unconsciousness to consciousness, from Id to Superego; what are the effects that such sensations can cause in a pathological level, in addition to identifying what are the genetic sources that influence the individual´s state of unhappiness.
