ABSTRACT The wax component in crude oil is one of the problems that can interfere with the activities of the oil and gas industry. Wax components in hydrocarbons exist in gas, liquid and solid phases depending on pressure and temperature, when the wax solidifies it will form crystals. There are several methods that can be used to treat wax problems. In this study using a chemical method, various chemicals are used to control waxy oil such as biodiesel, benzene, toluene, and xylene. These compounds are used as solvents to dissolve wax deposits found in crude oil.
