ABSTRACT REZKI MURSALIN, 2019. Efforts to Improve the Basic Technique of Volleyball Service Through the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Method for Class XI Science 2 Students of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to improve the basic service techniques using the Jigsaw cooperative learning method in class XI IPA 2 students of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. The study was conducted in October. The form of research is descriptive research. The basic technique of serving under the volleyball of students using a jigsaw cooperative learning model in class XI students of Natural Sciences 2 of SMAN 10 Pekanbaru. ). In the first cycle of basic techniques under volleyball service using a jigsaw cooperative learning model the average level of student skills increased with the category of quite competent with an average completeness of 63.06 (33.33%, 12 complete), it shows that students began understand the practice of basic techniques under the volleyball service using a jigsaw cooperative learning model taught by the teacher, but the average value has not yet reached the predetermined completeness of 80.00%. Whereas in the second cycle the average skills of the students were categorized as competent with an average completeness of 75.42 (86.11%, complete 31 people) which indicated that the classical completeness set in this study had been achieved at 80%
