Penggunaan Youtube Dalam Memenuhi Kebutuhan Informasi Modifikasi Otomotif Di Kalangan Anggota Forum Otomotif Riau

Currently, Youtube is the most dominant online video provider site in the world, which has billions of users, almost 1/3 of all internet users. It is estimated that 100 hours of accumulated videos are uploaded to Youtube in one minute. That means there are very many Youtube users. As an automotive activist, the need for information and behavior to seek information cannot be separated from various daily activities. Information discovery is very important because it is part of an effort to fulfill information needs. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative descriptive approach with the theory of Uses and Gratifications as the core theory in this study. The informants consisted of 5 members of the Riau Automotive Forum. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. This study uses an interactive data analysis technique which includes three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that it can be seen that using Youtube among members of the Riau Automotive Forum (FOR) is very helpful in meeting the information needs of automotive modifications. In terms of its impact on the use of Youtube among members of the Riau Automotive Forum (FOR) as a fulfillment of automotive modification information needs where as automotive activists, the abundance of information about automotive and modification tutorials on Youtube makes it easier to implement. Besides using Youtube, researchers also hope that the Riau Automotive Forum (FOR) creates content about automotive so that it can be used by all audiences, especially automotive activists. And the researcher also hopes that the Riau Automotive Forum (FOR) will create an information forum for community members to exchange information about modifications to make it easier for members to exchange information
