As an effort to overcome, prevent and eradicate Narcotics, the BNNK of Kuantan Singingi Regency is increasingly carrying out counseling and also urine tests conducted to high school schools in Kuantan Singingi Regency. From the urine test conducted by BNN, it was indicated that dozens of students were suspected of using narcotics. And must follow an assessment program to determine whether the student will be in full rehabilitation or outpatient. As for the main problem in this study, namely the factors causing narcotics abuse among high school students in Kuantan Singingi Regency and also knowing how the countermeasures were made to reduce the number of narcotics abuse by high school students. The research method used in this study is Empirical or Sociological Legal Research, a research using a field study approach. To collect primary and secondary data, interview techniques and questionnaires are used as data or information in writing this research. its nature. This research is descriptive analytical, while the meaning of descriptive analytical method is a method that serves to describe or provide an overview of the factors that cause narcotics abuse crimes among high school students and how to overcome narcotics abuse crimes by high school students in Kuantan Singingi Regency. Based on the results of the study, it can be understood that narcotics abuse by high school students in Kuantan Singingi Regency occurs due to several factors, including factors originating from within or internal factors such as stress or depression, curiosity and trial and error. Meanwhile, External Factors or those that come from outside themselves in the form of working after school hours, being invited by friends and the environment. Efforts to overcome are preventive efforts such as counseling, forming volunteers and anti-drug ambassadors in schools.
