Literasi Media Sosial Di Tiktok (Studi Deskriptif Pada Remaja Dalam Menentukan Validitas Informasi)

This study aims to determine and see the media literacy of Pekanbaru youth in determining the validity of information originating from Tiktok social media. In this study, the researcher used descriptive qualitative methods by conducting indepth interviews with 8 informants, and conducting direct observations. The results of this study are that a lot of information from Tiktok is still confusing and many users are not intentionally carried away by the rapid flow of information. To respond to this, it is necessary for Pekanbaru youth to apply media literacy so that they can determine the validity of the information obtained. According to the results of this study, adolescents in Pekanbaru are in the middle / medium level in the level of media literac
