Hubungan Antara Kontrol Diri Dengan Perilaku Kenakalan Remaja Pada Siswa SMKS YPPI Tualang

Problems that are often experienced by teenagers are leading to juvenile delinquency, such as high levels of aggressiveness, drinking alcoholic beverages, using illegal drugs, having sex, same-sex attraction, brawls, and running away from home. Self-control is a form of behavior that can structure, regulate, guide, and direct a person to produce positive consequences. The ability to control oneself is related to how a person controls his emotions and impulses. Controlling emotions means responding rationally to situations to prevent overreaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-control with juvenile delinquency in SMKS YPPI Tualang students. The subjects in this study were 119 students who were selected using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data collection tool is in the form of a self-control scale consisting of 21 items arranged based on aspects according to Averill and a youth acquaintance scale consisting of 44 items arranged based on the aspects described by Jensen.
