ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF INVESTMENT AND NUMBER OF POPULATION ON GRDP IN RIAU PROVINCE: ANALISIS PENGARUH INVESTASI DAN JUMLAH PENDUDUK TERHADAP PDRB DI PROVINSI RIAU

This study aims to determine the effect of investment and population on GRDP in Riau Province. The independent variables consist of PMDN, PMA, and total population. While the dependent variable is GRDP in Riau Province. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of annual quantitative figures from 2011 to 2020. The source of data used in this study comes from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). This research uses multiple linear regression analysis method and uses Statistical Test and Classical Assumption Test. The data is processed using the Eviews 10 application. The results of this study indicate that domestic investment and foreign investment have a positive and significant effect on GRDP in Riau Province. And the population has a positive and significant effect on GRDP in Riau Province.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mengetahui Pengaruh Investasi dan Jumlah Penduduk Terhadap PDRB Di Provinsi Riau. Variabel bebas terdiri dari PMDN, PMA, dan jumlah penduduk. Sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah PDRB di Provinsi Riau.  Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan data sekunder yang berbentuk angka kuantitatif tahunan dari tahun 2011 sampai tahun 2020. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam  penelitian ini berasal dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi linier berganda dan menggunakan Uji Statistik dan Uji Asumsi Klasik.  Data  diolah menggunakan aplikasi Eviews 10. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa investasi PMDN dan PMA berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap PDRB di Provinsi Riau. Dan jumlah penduduk berpengaruh  positif dan signifikan terhadap PDRB di Provinsi Riau
