This article presents methodological reflections as a product of the work experience in initial training processes of graduates in Biology from the National Pedagogical University, guided by the Teaching of Biology and Cultural Diversity research group; specifically in the development of comprehensive pedagogical practice and undergraduate work, in the Yanakuna indigenous reservation of Río Blanco (Sotará Cauca) and in the educational institution Inga Yachaikury (Yurayaco-Caquetá), Colombia. The conceptual and methodological reference starts from the epistemic plurality and the recognition of otherness, as an ethical practice that constitutes the teaching of biology and life.
