A Escola Superior de Educação Física de Florianópolis e a ditadura militar de 1964: memórias e representações de uma história

The representations of educational military policy that invaded Brazil, in 1964, are mostly conducted by an ideology that aims to bring out a wide variety of excesses committed by those responsible for managing and applying it in the country. Thus, concerning the influence of the necessity of the period and the construction of a specifi c knowledge, focused in Physical Education and especially the training of its teachers, a necessary and immobilized knowledge as crossed by nearly two decades, the vast bibliography of educational field and the bibliography produced within the fi eld of Physical Education in particular. Starting from the commonplaces of these positions present in the History of Education, the study proposed resignify them, based on the methodological perspective of Oral History. We tried to identify the understanding of Physical Education teachers (graduated at the School of Physical Education in Florianópolis (ESEF) in 1973) in relation to the Brazilian military dictatorship, established in 1964. By analyzing the teachers’ memories and representations, we try to show a new understanding in relation to what has happened between the Military Dictatorship and the young teachers of Physical Education graduated at that school.Key words: teacher education, history of Physical Education, Military Dictatorship, representations.As representações acerca da política educacional militar que invadiu o Brasil, no ano de 1964, são, em sua maioria, embaladas por um ideário que pretende trazer à tona os mais variados excessos cometidos por aqueles comprometidos em gestá-la e aplicá-la no país. Assim, acerca da influência das imposições do período e da construção de um saber particular, encapsulado na disciplina de Educação Física e, sobretudo, na formação de seus professores, um conhecimento tão necessário quanto imobilizador atravessou, por aproximadamente duas décadas, a vasta bibliografi a do campo educacional e aquela produzida dentro do campo da Educação Física, em particular. Partindo dos lugares-comuns dessas posições presentes na História da Educação, o estudo propôs ressignifi cá-las, com base na perspectiva metodológica da História Oral. Procurou-se identifi car o entendimento dos professores de Educação Física, formados pela Escola Superior de Educação Física de Florianópolis (ESEF), no ano de 1973, em relação à Ditadura Militar brasileira instaurada em 1964, tecendo, por meio da interpretação de sua memória e representações, uma possibilidade de ver emergir um novo entendimento da relação que se estabeleceu entre a Ditadura Militar e os referidos jovens professores de Educação Física daquela escola.Palavras-chave: formação de professores, história da Educação Física, Ditadura Militar, representações
