The Objective The 1999 Progress Rural WA Conference aims to build on the skills and exposure that many delegates have already had to inspiring and innovative practice from across the globe and the excellent practice currently being implemented by rural West Australians. Our keynote speakers have been selected on their ability to paint the big picture - we want to heighten the excitement, push people beyond their comfort zones and stretch peoples thinking. From project workshops and feedback across the state, we hear a number of common issues. The workshop themes have been developed to provide an action learning experience to address these core issues and opportunities that are available to us. This is our contribution to provide information and real life examples of ways we can take advantage of the possibilities for rural people in 1999 and beyond.
