Although song translation is an activity with a centuries-old history, it has only recently begun to occupy the field of translation studies and as a result, the relevant literature has not yet been enriched to the same extent as that of other fields of translation studies. Nevertheless, the dialogue that has been initiated is intense and productive. In this article, we shall deal with the translation strategies used in song translation with examples of Italian and English songs translated into Greek.
