Flaming Gorge Generator Activation Ceremony

A ceremony was held at the Salt Lake Airport where President John F. Kennedy pressed the key that signaled the acivation of the generator at the Flaming Gorge Dam. Newsmen and 25 employees were gathered in the dam powerhouse to await the President's signal from Salt Lake in which then the switch was turned on at the powerhouse.
