International audienceIn order to explore the different ways of creating links in the ancient musical practices, I consider the example of two hymns, which were performed in Delphi by Athenians artists in 128-127 BCE. This is first a social link, since the hymns were sung by a corporation of musicians, who are used to working together and who may have familial relationships. This is also a political link between the city-states of Athens and Delphi, since the artists are Athenian citizens who display their power in the sanctuary: at that time, there are strong political issues, especially involving Rome.
