In this paper, we present an analysis of the radiation properties of rectangular patch antennas with inhomogeneous substrates via a combined spectral-domain formulation based on the Method of Moments (MoM). Some numerical results (radiation patterns, cross-polarization levels, radiation efficiencies and bandwidth) are also presented and compared with those obtained using homogeneous substrates, showing the inhomogeneity effects
