Given the high risk of systemic relapse following initial therapy for muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC), improved pretreatment staging is needed. We evaluated the incremental value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT) after standard conventional staging, in the largest cohort of MIBC patients to date.
