PENERAPAN METODE CAM-ICU-7 SEBAGAI PENGKAJIAN DALAM MENILAI DELIRIUM PADA PASIEN KRITIS RSD K.R.M.T. WONGSONEGOROKOTA SEMARANG

Background : The general phenomenon of delirium is often found in the intensive care unit (ICU), the incidence of delirium in critically ill patients affects 60% to 80% of patients on mechanical ventilation. So it is necessary to screen for delirium using CAM-ICU-7.Purpose : Analyzing the application of the CAM-ICU-7 instrument in assessment the severity of delirium.Method : Case study design with descriptive analysis of observations based on case studies, the number of samples was 3 patients, using the CAM-ICU-7 instrument, carried out for 3 days.Result : Obtained age range > 40 years and > 50 years. Treatment 3 days and >5 days. Observations using the CAM-ICU-7 instrument resulted in scores of 6-7 (severe delirium), 3-5 (mild delirium), and 0-2 (negative delirium). The intervention given is cognitive therapy (orientation) to reduce the incidence of delirium based on the Critical Care Bundle (Delirium) and SIKI. The sensitivity and specificity values tend to be high, making the CAM-ICU-7 scale valid and easy to use in the assessment of delirium.Recommendations : The application of the CAM-ICU-7 Scale in assessing the severity of delirium does not have a negative impact in its application, therefore it needs to be applied as an assessment in critical patient
