The problem that often occurs in thoracic MRI examinations is the presence of artifact disturbances in the image. Artifacts can be minimized by reducing scan time. Generalized Autocalibrating Partially Parallel Acquisition (GRAPPA) has the advantage of speeding up scanning time but has the disadvantage of affecting SNR.
