Improved services and technological advances in the health sector certainly affect disease trends from infectious diseases to degenerative/non-communicable diseases. This is accompanied by an increase in life expectancy so that it has an impact on an increase in the number of elderly people. Elderly is a group of people aged >60 years and over. Hypertension is a disease of the heart and blood vessels which is characterized by an increase in blood pressure. Providing a normal blood pressure limit of less than 140/90 mmHg, and blood pressure equal to or above 140/90 mmHg is declared as hypertension.
