Travel With Words: An Innovative Vision on Travelling

Abstract—Modern travelers are not driven anymore just by the need of getting from A to B, learning about others, or doing commerce. The modern traveler wishes to explore culture at its own pace, following its own expectations and interests and the travel industry should adapt to this ever shifting environment. Furthermore, travelers desire an appealing presentation, while tour operators need comprehensive information for building travel packages and customizing them. A great part of cultural travel is based on history and historical events, and books are a near endless repository of such facts. Moreover, novels are a friendlier gateway to culture than handbooks or reference books. And readers often grow the necessity to see, feel and taste the imaginary world about they are reading in their own language.
