Abstract Detailed chemical abundances for up to 23 elements from Oxygen to Europium have been obtained from VLT-UVES spectra for 12 giants in the Sagittarius Dwarf Spheroidal galaxy (Sgr dSph), 5 in the associated globular cluster Terzan 7, and 3 in the direction of the newly discovered and still controversial CMa overdensity. The analysis has been accomplished by means of a GNU-Linux ported version of R. L. Kurucz’s codes for atmosphere modeling (ATLAS), abundance determination (WIDTH) and spectral synthesis (SYNTHE).
