The paper presents a brief overview of the experimental works carried out over the last eleven years on SRP systems, to provide an updated knowledge on the behaviour of SRP strengthened structures and identify areas of future research. First, the studies devoted to the mechanical characterization under tensile loading, to the durability of steel textiles and to the shear bond performance on concrete/masonry substrates are shown. Then, some applications of SRP systems to medium/large-scale structural members made of either reinforced concrete or masonry are described
