Aim of the present paper is to analyse network effects on latent constructs adopting a structural equation model perspective. To include network effects within a structural equation model, a simple and intuitive 2-step procedure is proposed, based on factor scores derivation and individual outcome regression model estimation. Our interest is motivated by a case study where the goal is to evaluate the effect of interpersonal relationships on students' performance under the assumption that subjects adjust their own attitudes and behaviors to that of others they are connected with.
