Monetary authorities status in twenty first century

This work is focused mostly, on a central bank as an institution which is in disposal of unique ability of creation liquid assets, and as a holder of this possibility it can influence other economical actors who are using the currency that central bank issues. Possibility of this manner obliges central bank for constant evaluation of its surroundings and its own attitude and interactions with this environment. The fact that central bank is inextricably bounded with the state which is a part of, and which is practically its owner, is one, but not the sole challenge that central bank has to scope with. This and other challenges are discussed and reviewed in this work.Práce je zaměřena především na centrální banku jako instituci, která disponuje unikátní schopností tvorby likvidních aktiv a tím může ovlivňovat ostatní ekonomické aktéry používající měnu, kterou centrální banka vydává. Taková možnost nutí centrální banku k neustálému hodnocení stavu okolního prostředí a jejího vlastního postavení a interakcí s tímto prostředím. Fakt, že je centrální banka neoddělitelné spjatá se státem, kterého je součástí a který je prakticky jejím vlastníkem, je pouze jednou, nikoliv jedinou výzvou, se kterou se musí centrální banka jako instituce vypořádat. Tato a další výzvy jsou v této práci diskutovány a posouzeny
