Autogenous arterial and venous grafts were used to bridge defects in the femoral arteries, aortas, and renal arteries of 40 Wistar rats in an effort to determine the feasibility of using such grafts in the treatment of renovascular hypertension. The long-term results indicated that arterial grafts would be the most suitable in such a situation, but further study is needed before the technique can be applied clinically
