Measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa angle gamma in B-+ -> D(*)K-+ decays with a Dalitz analysis of D -> K0S pi- pi+

Abstract

We report on a measurement of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa CP-violating phase \u3b3 through a Dalitz analysis of neutral D decays to KS0\u3c0-\u3c0+ in the processes B 13\u2192D(*)K 13, D*\u2192D\u3c00, D\u3b3. Using a sample of 227 710^6 BB\u305 pairs collected by the BABAR detector, we measure the amplitude ratios rB=0.12\ub10.08\ub10.03\ub10.04 and rB*=0.17\ub10.10\ub10.03\ub10.03, the relative strong phases \u3b4B=(104\ub145-21-24+17+16)\ub0 and \u3b4B*=(-64\ub141-12+14\ub115)\ub0 between the amplitudes A(B-\u2192D\u305 (*)0K-) and A(B-\u2192D(*)0K-), and \u3b3=(70\ub131-10-11+12+14)\ub0.
