This paper deals with the performance analysis of DS-CDMA cellular systems in the presence of heterogeneous traffics. We consider a distributed resource management scheme that uses a closed-loop control technique to manage the processing gain, the signal-to-interference ratio and the system load. In particular, each base station aims at maintaining the uplink load to its allowable maximum value in order to maximize the aggregated throughput. Different scheduling techniques are considered for delay-tolerant data traffics and their impact on the system performance has been evaluated through extensive simulations
