OMENTAL CYSTS IN THE PEDIATRIC AGE: MINI-INVASIVE APPROACH. Omental cysts are benign abdominal neo-formation, rarely found at any age. Their higher frequency is reported between the 1st and the 5th year of life, and their incidence is around 1:140.000 hospital admittances. It is to underline, however, that the majority of these lesions remain unknown, because not always clinical manifestations are present and sometimes they constitutes an accidental finding during a laparotomy made for other causes. Rarity of these lesions and lack of defined clinical characteristics make diagnosis very hard.
