Le politiche energetiche e climatiche dell\u2019Alto Adige nello scenario europeo

Questions in the area of climate change and energy are closely interrelated and of utmost relevance. Both at local and international level policymakers are invited to develop intersectoral strategies that \u2013 against the backdrop of global goals \u2013 take into account the local socio-economic characteristics. Italy is a highly energy-dependent country, but with a great potential both in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy, by meeting the challenges that the European legislation and inter-institutional collaborations in these areas bring along. South Tyrol has a long tradition in the energy field aiming at becoming an internationally recognized Climaland. The possibilities of cooperation between the public sector and the private sector in accordance with the European programs 2014-2020 pose new challenges and opportunities for the energy policy of South Tyrol, taking into account the territorial strengths and needs, and being complementary to the planned investments for the implementation of the National Strategy in the energy sector
