The article traces the feminist strain of Italian Theory while introducing the little known and still untranslated Italian feminist philosopher Angela Putino to anglophone scholars, within literary studies and at the intersection of literary-critical discourse and philosophical discourse. The article also traces shifting positions within Italian feminist thought by offering a comparative discussion of Carla Accardi's iconic Tenda (1964-1965), fruit of the painter's collaboration of Carla Lonzi, and Putino's take on biopolitics
