This article intends to verify the relations between Macao, a small strip of land in the southeastern corner of China, occupied by Portuguese since the 16th century, and literature. The main aim of this essay is to examine this relationship from the description of the Macau Literary Festival, The Script Road, which was first held in 2012, both in terms of its operative elements and in the content that theorized Macao itself
