These host countries multiply incentive policies to benefit from "spillovers effects". The objective of our work is to evaluate the foundations of this policy. However, direct investment alone can not explain the whole economic progression recorded in emerging countries. We ask if the human capital, combined to FDI, was not the cause of total factor productivity growth. We conclude that FDI plays a role of catalyst of growth in emerging countries.
