An analysis of the investment of women entrepreneurs in elective positions in the elections in Cameroon

International audienceIn Cameroon, there is an omnipresence of the state characterized by functions of regulation and control of all sectors of activity. Therefore the supremacy of politics over the economy. It is because of this that the women entrepreneurs proceed to the elaboration of the different strategies favoring an entanglement between the economic field and the electoral field by seeking to be invested as candidates within political parties. As a result, the female entrepreneurs often decide to launch themselves into the electective position in order to win electoral trophies, allowing themselves to guarantee and preserve feminine interests. To this end, female political class strives to mobilize a set of elements essentially based on resources garnered in the entrepreneurial sectors to clear the elective path and to assert themselves in the political processes of the country.
