PENCEMARAN LINGKUNGAN HIDUP DI DESA RINGINAGUNG DITINJAU DARI UU PERLINDUNGAN DAN PENGELOLAAN LINGKUNGAN HIDUP (Studi Kasus Di Pabrik Kulit Desa Ringinagung Kecamatan Magetan Kabupaten Magetan)

In this thesis, the title is Environmental Pollution in Ringinagung Village in terms of the Environmental Protection and Management Act whose research is located in Ringinagung Village, Magetan District, Magetan Regency. The environment is a place of life for humans where cleanliness and beauty are the responsibility of all of us as living beings to maintain it. However, the role of humans as living beings who play a major role in maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of the surrounding environment is not carried out properly, it will cause environmental pollution produced by human activity itself and have an impact on environmental damage or pollution which makes comfort when in the environment will be disturbed. . This will be a problem in the days to come for living things, especially humans and plants. If their environment is contaminated with environmental damage or contamination, there will be health problems for humans. Growth factors and social factors can affect the order of human life. If we look at the environmental pollution that occurs in Ringinagung Village, Magetan Regency, there is a form of environmental pollution in the form of air, water and soil pollution produced by the leather tanning factory industry that has been going on for decades, precisely since the factory was established. This causes many problems that occur in the community in the form of environmental pollution. The problem taken from this thesis is the desire to know how to implement the Law on Environmental Protection and Management and also the efforts made by related parties in solving environmental pollution problems in Ringinagung Village, Magetan Regency. The method used in this thesis is using an empirical juridical research method, in which legal problems that occur in society are analyzed in accordance with applicable regulations and then conclusions are drawn. While the scope of this research discusses law enforcement related to environmental pollution by liquid waste from the leather tanning industry in Ringinagung Village, Magetan Regency. The results of the research obtained from the field are environmental pollution in the form of air pollution which is strongly felt by the surrounding community and also pollution of the Gandong river which is around the leather tanning industry. This is a health problem for the surrounding community because of the unpleasant odor caused by liquid waste and waste disposal that directly flows into the Gandong river. From the interview results, it was found that there were already handlers related to the impact of environmental pollution by the leather tanning industry and there was also a role from the Magetan Regency Government. If we look at observations and interviews conducted with the community around the leather industry environment and also the village head of Ringinagung, we found various problems that there are still problems related to the handling of liquid waste from the leather tanning industry which has an impact on the daily life of the surrounding community which has not yet been handled properly. intensive efforts from the industry and local government which is still happening today. The conclusion we can draw is that the handling of environmental pollution cases has indeed been carried out but has not been maximized because there are several obstacles experienced by the leather tanning industry and also the Magetan Regency Government. The implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection and Management is also linked to this issue. Which of these laws regulates how the leather tanning industry operates and also with the policies taken by the Magetan Regency Government in an effort to overcome the problem of environmental pollution. The participation of the surrounding community is also needed here in providing reports to related parties if it is felt that environmental pollution is starting to occur again.
